Genesis Genomics UK is a research company developing new methods of detection that can identify the early stages of cancer. Initially our work is focusing on measuring skin damage associated with exposure to sun light.

The company is dedicated to developing a “genetic physical” capable of providing a simple test for detecting the development of many types of cancer at the DNA level, before a patient or doctor is aware of, or could recognize typical clinical disease symptoms.

The first of our DNA based tests available is the "Skin Physical ® ", which measures DNA damage in skin due to exposure to the sun. This test was first shown on the ITV program Tonight with Trevor McDonald "a tan to die for" in July 2003. Since then further development of the test has led to the point where this test is now commercially available in the UK.
